Major changes in the Nordic Vineyard family
On May 21 of this year a major change took place in the leadership of Vineyard Norden. As a result Hans and Lotta Sundberg are no longer serving as National Director for Vineyard Norden.
It is hard to imagine the pioneering years of Vineyard Norden without Hans’ & Lotta’s leadership. Hans has served well as a vision bearer, equipper, builder, problem solver and good example in so many ways. He and Lotta have instilled in us the value of being “including? and the value of “taking Jesus to the streets?. Their role can hardly be over-estimated, and all of the leaders in the Leaders Team can personally express that we would not be where we are today without Hans leadership. We are all truly thankful for our history together and it remains with us as a strong foundation in Vineyard Norden.
We now face the challenge, together with all the leaders in Vineyard Norden, of finding the way ahead in a new season. We are part of a strong and loving Vineyard family of churches and the European Vineyard family is especially important to us at this time. No new National Director will be appointed any time soon, but we plan to work together as a Leaders Team under the advice and mentorship of John Mumford (National Director for AVC UK). Two additional national leaders, Martin Buehlmann (National Director for AVC German speaking countries) and Jan-Bernard Struik (National Director for AVC “BENELUX?) have also offered to serve in a consulting relationship with us. We share a strong sense of optimism for the future.
Please pray for Hans & Lotta, for the Leaders Team, for the European National Directors and for all the pastors and leaders of Vineyard Norden as we seek Gods heart and wisdom for the path ahead. May His Kingdom continue to come and His will continue to be done in our lives and in the Vineyard.
