Vineyard Norden is an association of local independent vineyard churches in Norden (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden). Today there are 25 vineyard churches or church plants in Norden. The purpose of the association (AVC) is to support the pastors, give help to church development and to start new churches.
The pastors relate to each other in smaller regions where every region is lead by an Area Pastoral Coordinator (APC).
A Leaders Team comprised of several church pastors in Vineyard Norden form the central leadership for Vineyard Norden.
Vineyard is a global movement and there are approximately 10 Associations of Vineyard Churches (AVCs) in various regions of the world. Vineyard Norden is part of this international family of churches. The national leaders of these AVCs form a relationship-based group where important dialogue takes place such as: interpreting and working out issues which arise, and processing various decisions which need to be made. The dialogue which occurs within this group of national leaders in turn affects the various AVCs and Vineyard churches around the world.
The larger collective group of national leaders has instituted and authorized a smaller group to act on their behalf. This smaller group is called the "Vineyard International Executive" and is currently comprised of four national leaders led by John Mumford, national director for the Association of Vineyard Churches in the UK.
Today the Vineyard Movement has roughly 1000 churches, in over 70 countries around the world. The Vineyard Movement is one of the fastest growing church families in the whole of the evangelical church.
